Thomas Bodström's track record shows great versatility: Premier Division football player, lawyer and Minister of Justice in the Swedish government for a period between the years 2000 and 2006.
Thomas Bodström debuted as an author with 700 days in the Parliament (2003), in which he depicted government work. Together with journalist Mats Holm he wrote about his passion for football in World Cup Fever, Football, Friendship, Obsession (2006).
His debut as a crime novelist with The Escapee (2008) which was the first part of a trilogy. In The Idealist (2009), we follow the same characters, especially Mattias who is a lawyer and the prosecutor Susanne. The third and final part is The Lobbyist (2010). These books are largely based on Bodström's experience as a politician and lawyer.
