When Swedish Olympic gold medallist Björn Ferry changed his eating habits from lots of carbohydrates to a diet based on LCHF ideas, it started to affect his competition results considerably. And in the 2010 Olympic Games he stood on the top of the prize podium to receive the gold medal for the biathlon – cross-country skiing and rifle shooting.
In Brian Ferry’s opinion it wasn’t just a coincidence that he finally made it to the prize podium in the Olympics. It was a very deliberate strategy which comprised a determined programme to improve his training methods and a re-appraisal of his eating habits. Today he eats protein, fat and vegetables and as few carbohydrates as possible. In this book he describes with considerable enthusiasm how by changing his eating habits, he also changed his life. Björn would like to motivate and inspire others to do the same, regardless of the goal of their training. The book includes Björn Ferry’s favourite recipes, put together with the help of dietician Cathrine Schück. You can be a winner too by eating like Björn Ferry, and that means food based on the LCHF diet.
Björn Ferry won the gold medal in the Biathlon in the Winter Olympics in Vancouver 2010. Ferry food is his first book.
Cathrine Schück is a chef, food writer and dietary advisor. She has written a large number of books about food and health, in subjects such as eating to make yourself younger, and losing 3 kg in 3 weeks.
