Eija Hetekivi Olsson has been awarded the Aftonbladet Literature Prize 2016, for her novel Miira.
The Aftonbladet Literature Prize is a Swedish literary award given by the newspaper Aftonbladet annually since 1957. From the motivation of the jury: “For a novel about a supergirl being her own fierce and playful resistance movement. In a prose made of linguistic pyrotechnics.”

Eija Hetekivi Olsson was born in 1973 and Miira is her anticipated and greatly demanded sequel to Ingenbarnsland/No Child’s Land, published by Norstedts in 2012. Ingenbarnsland was awarded the Katapult Prize for best debut, along with several other prizes, and was also shortlisted for the August Prize and Swedish Radio’s Novel Prize. Film option and theatre rights are sold.
