Legendary football coach Sven-Goran Eriksson publishes his memoirs

Norstedts has acquired the rights to Sven-Goran "Svennis" Eriksson's memoirs, with publication planned autumn 2013. Few Swedes are so legendary and talked about as Eriksson. He has won everything from the UEFA Cup with IFK Gothenburg in 1982 to lo scudetto with Italian Lazio in 2000. For six turbulent years, he had the football world's toughest job as England’s coach. Now he tells us all about his amazing journey and his mysterious life.

"There has been so much said about me that is not true," says Eriksson. "Now I want to take the opportunity to give my own view of everything that has happened. Maybe it will be my life's greatest challenge. I want it to be an open and honest book about life both on and off the football field, I think I have a lot to tell. "

"At Norstedts, we are of course very happy and proud to publish Svennis memoirs," says senior editor Stefan Skog, "I'm sure that many will find the book intriguing, not just the football-crazy."

Norstedts also handles the world rights to the memoirs. "The interest from foreign publishers will be massive. Eriksson is an international superstar," says Linda Altrov Berg at Norstedts Agency.

Eriksson writes the book together with acclaimed journalist and author Stefan Lövgren, who says: "I love football and for me as for any other Swedish and foreign football fan Svennis is a legend. Being involved and telling his exceptional story is nothing more than a dream assignment."
