Only two months after receiving the P O Enquist Literary Prize, Amanda Svensson was last night announced as the winner of Svenska Dagbladet's Literature Prize for her novel A Magnificent System, which the jury describes as: a novel about serious contemporary issues such as climate and fear, but that also makes you smile.
The prize has been awarded annually since 1944 to a promising Swedish authorship and hereby Amanda Svensson joins previous winners such as Stig Dagerman, P.O Enquist, Johannes Anyuru and Lina Wolff.
Translation rights have been sold to Norway, Denmark, Germany, France, the Netherlands and the UK.
