What an amazing week for awards! It is with great pleasure that we announce that Nina Wähä's Testament has been declared the winner of Swedish Radio's Literature Prize. The prize has been awarded annually since 1994 and true to tradition, the winning novel is chosen by a jury consisting of members from various book groups. This is their statement: "A swarming family drama in the Finnish Torne Valley where the father's darkness has had an impact on everyone's lives. In "Testament", Nina Wähä intensely and vividly portrays how the family members in different ways shape their own destinies based on this legacy."
The prize confirms Testament's reputation as a reader's favourite and the book has sold around 75.000 copies in Sweden alone.
Congratulations Nina!
