Amanda Svensson Shortlisted for the Warwick Prize for Women in Translation

Following her earlier spot on the International Booker Prize longlist, we are pleased to announce that Amanda Svensson, together with translator Nichola Smalley, has been shortlisted for the Warwick Prize for Women in Translation with novel  A System So Magnificent it is Blinding. The prize was established by the University of Warwick in 2017 to address the gender imbalance in translated literature and to increase the number of international women’s voices accessible to a British and Irish readership. The winner of the eight-strong shortlist will be announced at a ceremony in London on 23 November.

Here in Sweden, Amanda was awarded both the Per Olov Enquist Literary Prize and Svenska Dagbladet’s Literature Prize for this novel.
