About the book
Winter is approaching and Annie is planning a quiet December with the odd drive around Dalarna with her lingerie bus, which has luckily had a heater installed. But her plans change when her father Hilding’s Christmas card to his sister Elvy is returned with a note saying that the addressee has moved.
Annie offers to accompany her father to Vännäs, Elvy’s hometown, to find out if anyone knows where she might have gone. The traces take them even further north, all the way to the Torne Valley. While on the road Annie and Hilding encounter a diverse bunch of characters: the dog Stinta which Elvy has mysteriously left behind, an eccentric relative, a yoga commune and a rivalling lingerie bus.
Annie’s father Hilding is not someone who adores Christmas, but when they are both given the opportunity to help other people, he begins to understand the concept of the yuletide season.
Christmas on Northern Lights Road is the third part in Karin Janson’s series about Annie and her lingerie bus. A heartwarming and amusing road movie of a novel, about family secrets and about changing the oil when life starts making a rumbling noise.
